I'm not sure what it says about me that I got so excited by your soup cheat sheet but thank you very much!

Thank you for the soup chart Alexina - will be very useful. Love Marigold Bouillon and Knorr stock pots for their convenience and speed - when you haven’t had the time or freezer space to make your own stock from scratch.

Another great newsletter and very good tips!

One word of caution on Knorr stock pots. They are incredibly salty! They are 15% salt, 4.5 more salty than seawater! I spotted this after I'd bought them a while ago. I need to control my salt intake so they went in the bin. Although it looks like Unilever has developed a salt free version now https://www.ocado.com/products/knorr-8-chicken-zero-salt-stock-cubes-556417011?utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=21130335351&utm_content=non-brand&gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAiAl4a6BhBqEiwAqvrqumUrMH_7uKKsGHhMaM_LMZ-_0R7VFi4KJXFfPewroONY9kPbpPVSwRoCBAQQAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds

Hi Bill :) -- they are very salty, agreed, and understandably not ideal if you are having to control your salt intake. From a flavour standpoint I think the soup does need to be decently seasoned and I find the stock pots to be a convenient way to do that. But, of course, you could opt for a salt-free version (thank you for sharing the link!) or homemade stock (where you get to control the salt levels) and then season the soup to taste / preference. <3
