Extra Win: Postcard from Norway
What we got up to in the Norwegian mountains, in case you fancy it!
Recently we went to Norway to hike the fjords, and here’s what we got up to — in case you were planning on a similar trip!
Mostly we spent time based on the island of Osterøy (an hour’s north of Bergen), but we also tacked a few nights in Bergen onto the end of the trip.
I always feel that reviews of travel destinations are missing a couple of things, namely:
A list of pros and cons so that you can evaluate, at a glance, whether it might be for you
Genuinely honest reviews
Not here: I’ve included a pros and cons list below, plus details of what we loved, as well as a few of the things we would maybe skip next time — plus the pros and cons of the accommodation we chose. Hopefully this’ll be helpful if you’re looking to create your own itinerary!
Norway is the perfect holiday for outdoorsy types — if you love a beautiful landscape, if you value peace, if you like to hike and don’t mind a bit of rain, then this location is for you. We loved it.
